Typhon 6s V5, upgrades to not pass on and why

Well if you are anything like me, you would’ve noticed that sexy buggy, the Typhon 6s. Honestly, one of the best R/C cars we have ever had a chance to beat on. It is tough, it does break, but just about every time it breaks you’ll find out it was user error that broke it.

With the above being said we have accepted that it could also be a bit better. So, how do we make this happen; and what are some upgrades that we shouldnt skip on. I will detail some upgrades ive done, and what value it has brought forth.

-Shocks (make sure its adjustable) –The reason we want these to be adjustable is because we want to be able to adjust it for best performance/looks possible.

-Steering rods (aluminum, I use GPM) – The reason to use these steering rods, is simply because they are so easy to adjust when it comes to camber on the wheels. You want to make sure that the tires have even wear.

-Proline MX Badland tires/Trenchers – Badlands are great bashing tires. Belted Trenchers are my new favorites. The reason for this is that belted tires will last much longer on the rim than non-belted; specially during high heat, pressure, and friction runs.

Dustmesh – I found this to be an excellent way to make the electronics last longer by keeping dust, rocks, debris and bugs out.

I mentioned these as they are some of the upgrades I personally enjoyed doing. One recommendation that I will make sure not to pass on to all the folks out there that are getting into the hobby is…. “upgrades are easy to do, and everyone will tell you this, however, as a novice you will learn that simple upgrades will take you time, money, and it can become discouraging once you start having to redo, or buy new parts because of installation errors”. Make sure not to fall into that trap otherwise. One of our main goals is to keep this hobby fun for all.
