Rockets: V2 Style Testing Platform – 12-1-2021

Slowly but surely our V2 Style testing platform is almost ready for initial flight. Although that may be delayed by the need to create a custom launch pad that can support it’s initial weight.

The rocket, although not finished or named yet, is a modified model of the V2 rockets that Germany had developed during WWII. The reasons for using this design are very simple, it had an excellent size cargo, and looks awesome!!!!
Our un-named rocket so far has been fiber-glassed with our curious mixture, and the outside 2 parts are already assembled and ready to accept a minimum size of an E sized Rocket engine due to it’s weight. Our design of this rocket has a slight modification, and that is the length. Our design is about twice the length of the scaled down model if 1:10
The top portion of our V2 design will allow easy swapping of payload mechanisms. This will assist in the testing of different types of payloads. In this model the fins will not move. Meaning any testing this rocket is for will be a set trajectory type of test.
